This position will office out of the home.  Midwestern Regional Sales Manager can be located in any of the following states:

Illinois - Michigan - Ohio - Wisconsin, Minnesota - Indiana - Iowa

The most qualified recruit will be responsible for the development and overall growth of revenue & market share within a multi-state territory. In addition to direct sales calls on assigned OEMs, specifying engineers, and end user accounts this individual will work with manufacturer’s representatives, value added resellers and distributors as the territory channel requirements dictate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain high value sales prospecting lists in assigned territory for all assigned markets
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with prospects and customers
• Assimilate RFQs and write accurate quotations
• Pre-qualify opportunities to match our core competencies
• Follow up on quotes and close orders
• Review new orders for accuracy and submit complete and correct orders to factory
• Manage and effectively work with channel partners within the assigned territory
• Attain or exceed assigned sales targets by effectively managing company’s and channel partners resources
• Identify need for additional resources and channel partners as required
• Perform lunch & learns and make product presentation to customers, prospective customers and A&E firms
• Attend local and national trade shows as required
• Submit sales reports as required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Skills
1. Excellent communication skills, telephone, and email manners
2. Able to correctly write, spell and use English grammar
3. Positive, professional, upbeat and energetic with can-do attitude
4. Is customer focused
5. Ability to use time effectively, prioritize, pays attention to details, and can multitask
6. Is a team player
7. PC knowledge including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
8. Willingness to jump in and help others in any area at any time
9. Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast paced work environment
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a technical discipline)
2. Minimum three years direct sales experience. Demonstrated relevant experience in DC Power Field, Battery Chargers, Industrial Batteries a plus
3. Understanding of engineering (electrical/electronic) principles as related to products a plus
4. Prior experience in preparing technical response to industrial RFQ’s
5. History of being a self-starter able to work independently with little supervision
