Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Application Sales Engineer to support and drive the growth of our LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery systems across the data center, telecom, and energy storage markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical or electrical engineering, 3D modeling/design, and technical sales, with a passion for delivering customer-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers and internal engineering/product teams for LFP battery applications.
Analyze customer specifications and requirements to propose tailored LFP battery system solutions.
Develop and present technical proposals, system layouts, and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar).
Collaborate with the product development and R&D teams to align solutions with evolving customer needs and industry trends.
Support the sales cycle by providing technical expertise during pre-sales, customer meetings, RFP responses, and post-sales support.
Conduct on-site and virtual customer visits to understand application challenges and ensure successful system integration.
Deliver product training, technical presentations, and support documentation for internal teams and clients.
Track industry trends, competitor technologies, and regulatory changes in the LFP battery sector.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (ME), Electrical Engineering (BSEE), or a related technical field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or product engineering in the energy storage, telecom, or data center sector.
Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and mechanical/electrical system layout tools.
Knowledge of battery technologies, particularly LFP systems, including performance characteristics, thermal management, and system integration.
Qualifications continued
Strong understanding of relevant standards and codes (UL, IEEE, NEC, etc.) in energy storage and telecom/data center infrastructure.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel (~25%) for customer meetings, trade shows, and site support.
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
Experience with energy management systems, battery monitoring systems (BMS), or power conversion technologies.
Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and technical documentation tools.
Experience in technical training or customer onboarding.
