Electrical Controls Engineer

Commissioning, troubleshooting experience in support of multiple Energy Storage projects.
 
The new hire shall work in all phases of project life-cycle and be responsible for commissioning and support of Energy Storage Systems.

This includes:

 Control software implementation
 Planning, commissioning, and troubleshooting support at customer sites
 Development, execution, and documentation of test plans
 Project Management
 Requirements definition
 System architecture and design

Engage with the product development team to drive product improvement The role will involve travel to customer sites for commissioning or troubleshooting, within USA and internationally.

Experience The candidate should ideally hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or in a related discipline. It is expected that the candidate should have 3-7 year’s industry experience working in roles which span Electrical and Control Systems Engineering.

It is expected that the candidate should have these attributes:
 Responsible, trustworthy, diligent
 Hard working with a strong work ethic
 Work independently with minimal supervision
 Strong communication skills, written, oral, and interpersonal - He or she should be able to demonstrate skills and experience with:  PLCs (e.g. Control Logix, Compact Logix and Micrologix) and RS Logix
 Electrical and Control System Design
SCADA protocols (especially Modbus and DNP3) and HMI experience
 Systems testing and commissioning It is desired that the candidate should have these attributes:
 Power systems engineering experience
 Knowledge of NFPA/NEC
 Previous experience with renewable energy systems
 REST APIs, Linux
