BSEE Regional Sales Manager – based in the territory (Midwestern, Eastern or Southeast states) The Sales Manager is responsible to identify new customers, cultivate relationships, screen, and secure business opportunities for the company. They will lead the commercial development of Key Accounts, and the delivery of the customer value propositions in the region. Responsible for sustainable commercial business development and leadership positions within the company. The Sales Manager will bring in new business from existing customers or contacts and will develop new relationships with potential customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the global market intelligence activities and drive key account strategies on business growth
Foresee opportunities in the vertical segments, support strategic planning and advise on direction
Drive customer relationship towards strategic partnership and top of mind in customers
Drive the manufacturer reps systematically as the frontline contacts for quality customers; orchestrate the rep structure to leverage maximum project value inflow and fast winning
Establish and focus on the resource’s requirements and bandwidth on Strategic and key accounts
Assist in customer specific strategic direction to achieve commercial targets
Enhance strategic relations with key stakeholders such as PLD, PM, and Operations
Establish account sales model through a robust sales forecast
Maintain set monthly revenue targets for new NBO’s
Develop customer relationship into a long-term strategic partnership
Sustainability of revenue results based on yearly sales plan
Proactive manage customer expectations to result in a positive revenue solution
Proactively manage customer issues to a positive mutual resolution
Attend and manage customer visits, QBR, and customer management meetings
Develop organic sales growth with existing customers and key accounts
Manage all key aspects of the customer interaction to insure successful product launch
Manage program scope, schedule, and cost. Work with the PM team to create program work plans and revise as appropriate.
Provide overall direction in establishing program requirements, priorities, and deadlines on new product introductions (NPI).
Conduct regular program reviews to meet or improve program schedule and budget. Resolve issues, conflicts, and minimize exposure and risk. Communicate updates to purchasing and manufacturing, and present progress reports to senior management on a regular basis.
REQUIREMENTS
Business Acumen with keen understanding of the financial returns of these investments and act as a P & L leader for these sub segments
High level of credibility with proven ability to establish and develop strategic client relationship
Experiences in managing external sales force such as manufacturer reps in B2B environment
Strong professional reputation through client network with the key decision makers within the potential customer organizations
Pays attention to detail, & superior numerical skills with high standards in quality and process
Customer service orientation with operation and Project Management experience
Highly result driven, creative, think outside the box; not only to win a deal but to build the business
Knowledge of design in process for customized solutions and management of NBO funnels
Preferred technical background in batteries industry or design in products with basic knowledge of operations, BESS, Grid Storage, Robotics, Large Format Batteries
Integrity and business control are required from the professional sales leadership
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business, or related field
10 years of experience in external sales and similar sales management environment
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; negotiation skills; cross-cultural sensitivity
