The Critical Power Level 4 technician is an expert in the UPS industry and has extensive experience with UPS power systems. This is a leadership position that will supervise and train less experienced technicians and run projects. A senior UPS technician should be able to: Oversee installation contractor, start up, maintain, and troubleshoot various types of UPS systems.


Requirements
  • Education: AAS Degree / Tech School or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have 7+ years of technician experience in the UPS industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable using other software programs for test reports, time sheets, and training.
  • Strong working knowledge of: AC and DC circuits, electronics, power, and necessary test equipment (DVM, O-scopes, PQM’s, load-banks, and other misc. hand tools).
  • Strong communication skills – maintain a professional demeanor during high stress situations.
  • Ability to operate various company vehicle types in a safe and competent manner. Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record with minimal traffic violations.
  • Ability to maintain effective and respected work relationships with others.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Leadership experience – takes ownership of problems and gives credit to team members.
  • Military service is a plus.
  • High level communication skills in all facets of business.
  • High energy and positive attitude.
  • Ability to pass various pre-employment screenings.
  • Ability to sustain a significant travel commitment in the territory.
