Project Manager Critical Power Eastern US

The Project Manager-Critical Power is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. Project managers are responsible for a wide variety of projects, including but not limited to, IT, HR, and marketing.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives.
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget.
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Management or related field. 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. 
  • Minimum 5 years project management and related work experience
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs, and across remote offices.
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas (both written and verbal) to both internal and external customers and to listen effectively to customer needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Highly independent with organized, strong work ethic and team mentality
  • Other duties as assigned.
